British organisation Guild esports, headed by Football legend David Beckham, has ramped up their Valorant roster for the upcoming season. They have added 3 new players to their squad, going from an All-Swedish lineup to an international one for VCT 2022.

For Valorant Champions Tour 2022, Jose Luis “koldamenta” Aranguren Herrero, Russel “Russ” Mendes, and Nikita “trexx” Cherednichenko will be sporting the Guild esports jersey and join the 2 remaining Swedes Saif “Sayf” Jibraee, Leo ‘Leo’ Jannesson and André “BARBARR” Möller as coach. BARBARR has previously played and coached CSGO teams in the past before moving to Valorant.

Guild have been out of action since October 2021, where they lost to Team Liquid in the EMEA Last Chance Qualifier and could not qualify for Valorant Champions. After their exit from EMEA LCQ, the team decided to bench William ‘draken’ Fant Sundin, Yacine ‘Yacine’ Laghmari and Malkolm ‘bonkar’ Rench. The trio was released from their contracts in November 2021 as Guild decided to rebuild the roster.

They had been making waves in the EMEA region for all of 2021 but failed to make an appearance at any International LAN events. They reached Masters One, the Stage Two Challenger Finals, and the Stage Three Challengers Playoffs but could not win any of them. Their best finish was second place in the Stage 2 Challengers 1 and a runner up finish at EMEA LCQ 2021.

The rebuild comes following in the footsteps of many other organisations such as G2 esports, Team Liquid and of course Valorant Champions 2021 winners Team Acend – all of whom sport International Rosters.

The new Guild esports roster will likely be seen playing at EMEA Challengers 2021 Open Qualifiers which start on January 10, but it remains to be seen whether they will be invited to the event directly based on their 2021 points or will need to qualify.

Guild Esports’ Valorant roster is now:

  • Jose Luis “koldamenta” Aranguren Herrero
  • Russel “Russ” Mendes
  • Nikita “trexx” Cherednichenko
  • Saif “Sayf” Jibraee
  • Leo ‘Leo’ Jannesson
  • André “BARBARR” Möller (coach)
