Apple Vision Pro Set for International Expansion to South Korea and UAE

Apple is expanding the reach of its innovative Vision Pro headset, initially launched in the U.S. in February, to two additional countries: South Korea and the United Arab Emirates. This significant move comes as the tech giant prepares to launch the device internationally on November 15, 2024, following its initial rollout in June.

New Market Expansion Announcement

The confirmation of this expansion was shared by Greg Joswiak, Apple's marketing chief, in a post on X (formerly Twitter). Joswiak expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming availability of the Vision Pro, stating, “Apple Vision Pro is coming to South Korea and the United Arab Emirates on November 15! We’re excited that customers in a dozen countries and regions will get to immerse themselves in the world of spatial computing.”

Pre-orders for the device will open on November 4 at 5 a.m. local time in both regions, allowing eager customers to secure their units ahead of the official debut. The Vision Pro webpage has already been set up on Apple’s local sites in both South Korea and the UAE to facilitate this process.

Wider Global Availability

With the addition of South Korea and the UAE, the Vision Pro will be available in twelve countries, marking a significant milestone for Apple's ambitious product rollout. The headset, which is priced starting at $3,500 in the U.S., targets a niche market and is positioned as a premium device within Apple's lineup.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has acknowledged that while the Vision Pro is groundbreaking with its advanced technology, it is not intended for mass-market consumers at this time. Despite its exclusive nature, a recent report indicated that Apple is well-prepared with enough inventory to meet demand for the Vision Pro well into the future, with projections estimating production capacity of around 600,000 headsets by the end of the year.

As Apple continues to push the boundaries of spatial computing, the Vision Pro represents not only a major technological advancement but also an exciting opportunity for consumers in new international markets.
